Debutify Interview Of The Week – Guest : Kamil Sattar

Debutify theme is one of the latest newest themes in the dropshipping business, and the theme has most of the latest features any dropshipper would love to have in their store.

It is an honor to have you here Kamil Sattar, we are super excited! We just have a few questions people are itching to ask and appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to help us with this.

Let Us Get Started!

1.Hello Kamil Sattar, for those who don't know who you are, would you kindly introduce yourself and what you do, the results you have achieved, and how you have helped people around the world to achieve success?

Hi, I am Kamil Sattar.  I am an entrepreneur who has developed a system that is has allowed me to create multiple successful stores.

This has allowed me to build three separate companies. Perhaps what I am most proud of is that one of those companies has changed the lives of many people throughout the world.

Using the experience that I have acquired in building those stores, I am able to teach people the best methods for finding success in creating successful drop shipping businesses.

2.When did you realize drop shipping could work for you? (What's your dropshipping journey?)

When I was younger, I always dreamed of being an entrepreneur. I didn’t like school and I soon found out that I didn’t like to work in a job where you would get paid the same no matter how much effort you put in.

I really loved fashion and I always wanted to be able to afford high-fashion brands.

However, I didn’t have enough money. So, I decided to buy and sell items, such as tennis shoes and clothes that I could sell for profit.

But I knew that I couldn’t scale this type of business. That’s when I knew that I had to get smart and find ways to leverage my time and efforts. That’s how I found dropshipping.

3.Most dropshipping gurus out there make newbies feel drop shipping is an overnight success, what's your take on this?

Lionel Messi once said, “It took me 17 years and 114 days to become an overnight success.”. I think that this is one of the best statements that I’ve ever heard. Dropshipping is a business.

Any business that you start must be respected. Most of these kids online are trying to sell you a dream. The dream is definitely achievable, but it’s not sexy to talk about the hard work that you need to put in.

It’s not sexy to talk about the amount of learning that you must be willing to put in. But that’s okay. Truly successful people realize that if it were that easy, everyone would be doing it successfully.

By being willing to put in hard work, we can find opportunities. This can help us set us apart. As the old saying goes, “The cream rises to the top”.

4.Was there a time in life that you nearly drop the dropshipping idea and decided to pursue a different venture?

I think that we all fall prey to self-doubt and frustration at times. We all have gotten the “shiny object syndrome”.

We tend to think that other business models or other ventures will be easier and that they will be the “silver bullet” to all your troubles. But that’s just it. Anything that affords you the opportunity to better yourself and to create a new life will take work.

I remember telling one of my students, Bill, who is now a mentor in my company. He was facing some frustration in one of his campaigns. I told him, “If you think that losing a few hundred dollars is tough, try adding another “0” to that. And then, once you find more success, add yet another “0” to that.” Now he realizes what I was saying is true.

We, as entrepreneurs, always need to get better. There will always be obstacles. The key is to overcome them. As Jim Rohn said, “Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better”.

5.Talking of giving up on drop shipping, what were some of the failures you encountered?

Part of the process of becoming an entrepreneur is failing.  Of course, I’ve had lots of failures.

That’s how I’ve been able to develop the system that I’ve used to help so many.  I’ve faced supplier inventory problems, I’ve faced payment hold problems, and cash float issues, Facebook Ad account.

You name it, I’ve faced it.  But that’s a good thing.  Because I’ve faced so many different issues, it’s allowed me to perfect the process.  When students now encounter issues, I’ve dealt with them.

Of course, my job is to help them avoid issues before they come up, but I help them also if they have to resolve things.

6.If you were to start over again today, what would you have done differently in terms of product research, store design, and marketing in general?

It’s hard to say because there’s no way to just go back and you have to learn what you have to learn, but I think that I would’ve tried to make an effort to learn Facebook ads a lot sooner.  I started with Instagram and it definitely paid off but I think that I could’ve started scaling sooner.

7.What are some of the myths about dropshipping you had to beat to be where you are today? How did you find your first Dropshipping niche? Did it fail or worked out?

The biggest myth that I find about dropshipping is that it is not a real business.

Internet Marketers have made this sound like it’s a “set it and forget it” type of thing where all you do is press a button and the money starts pouring in.

While you certainly can work from a beach as long as you have Internet, you still have to work.  You have to practice sound business fundamentals.  You still must know your numbers and you need to make sure that your daily tasks are done and done well.

As far as the first dropshipping niche, I started selling cell phone covers. I was both able to learn a lot and make money.  This definitely allowed me to step into creating other stores.

8.What would be your advice to most beginners getting into dropshipping?

To come in prepared and to be ready to learn.  If you’re willing to work, you will learn so much about business.  And it’s important.  It’s important to learn about the different facets of business because then you can discern what’s working and what’s not.

9.How do you find winning products? There are different ways of finding winning products.

There is no one way.  The important thing is that you have good criteria and that you are able to market that product well.

Finding a winning product is as much about you as it is about the product.  And it’s as much about the market (Audience) as those other two things.  So finding a winning product isn’t just finding a “cool” product.

There’s more to it than that.

10.How do you market your products to get sales?

If you’ve followed any of my videos on YouTube, you’ll see that I’ve used many methods to market products.

In general, Facebook is a good place to start, but it depends on the product.  There are countless ways to market anything.  It’s important that you do things professionally and well.

11. Anything else you would like to say to people to help them in their journey?

Yes.  It’s important to get started.  It’s even more important not to give up.  You will fail.  We all fail.

If Facebook denies an ad, it’s okay.  If you don’t find success with your first product it’s okay.  These are all lessons that serve us.  They help us to not repeat mistakes the next time.

They help us to raise our standards.  They help us to improve the quality of our work.  There is only one way to truly fail in this and that is to give up.
