Get A Head Start On Marketing

Your Shopify Coming Soon page sets the expectation for your visitors to look forward to.

So, you need to create buzz by having a pre-launch campaign.

By setting up their expectations, you're more likely to get them to subscribe to your email list. And follow you on social media.

Not only that, but you can also encourage your followers to share your brand on their social media accounts.

That gains you traction for your digital marketing strategy before even launching. How awesome is that?

Having a pre-launch audience is important in your business because they can be your prospective customers.

They are more likely to buy your products than others who will pay attention to you after the brand launch.

Why? Because they're already aware of your brand and products, and they're one step closer to making a purchase decision.

So, make sure to set up your pre-launch marketing strategy.

A Shopify Coming Soon page can also...

Generate Leads

Once you have your email list, you can quickly generate leads. How?

You can give them heads-up about opportunities such as pre-orders and discounts. They can receive news related to your brand, just like your launch date.

With that, they are now potential customers lining up to buy your product.

Potential customers are not the only thing you can gain with a Shopify Coming Soon page.

This is a great way to collect email addresses.

You can also gain...

Listen, it's never too early to focus on your website's analytics.

Yep, you don't need to wait until your official launch.

Gaining important insights about your future visitors' likes and dislikes is crucial for your growth.

And you can start noticing your audience's behavior with your Shopify Coming Soon page.

With your Coming Soon page, you can try to send your message across in different ways. Use your visitor's feedback to tweak your ideas.

Feel free to play around with different copies and designs. Finally, check which way converts best before your launch.

You can reap these benefits will a great Shopify Coming Soon page. So, what should yours look like?

Why Do You Need A Coming Soon Page?

What Should A Powerful Coming Soon Page Contain?

Are you planning to have your coming soon page as a short-term placeholder? Or do you want it to be a longer-term pre-launch marketing strategy?

Your landing page's look and what it contains all depend on what you want to achieve. As I said, there are many ways you can go with it.

But an effective Shopify Coming Soon page should have these objectives:

Proposes Your Value

Let's go back to the Coming Soon page example I've shown you. Do you remember all the aspects you like about it?

Well, let me tell you what I admire about it.

Their copy is on point. It's short and tells you exactly what you can expect from it. It also immediately tells its potential users what's in it for them.

Your Shopify Coming Soon page should do the same as well. It should describe what is "coming soon." And of course, when exactly your online store will come.

Provide them with a timeline so they can anticipate more. Why not include a countdown timer in your header to display the date of your launch?

Proposes Your Value

A countdown timer will also create a sense of urgency and excitement among your prospective customers!

A great Shopify Coming Soon landing page also...

Showcases About Your Products Or Online Store

You can introduce your products or online store even before launch!

Who doesn't want that?

This is perfect if your Coming Soon page is not an entire website, but for a specific product.

If you want to take pre-orders, it's best to include why they should buy your products in the first place.

Of course, as an online business owner, you need to get customers.

When writing about your products or online store before in your Coming Soon landing page, make sure to include:

  • The benefits of your products or value proposition
  • Exclusive deals if they pre-order
  • Estimated time of delivery or launch

You want to assure them when their orders will arrive to build trust around your online store.

Since this is a Shopify Coming Soon page, it doesn't have to be long. Just write a short copy that will entice them to sign-up for your list.

See? Grab this opportunity and talk about how beneficial your products will be. Don't wait for the launch date.

It also...

Builds Pre-Launch Email List

Don't let potential customers slip through your hands with a sub-par Shopify Coming Soon page!

Capture your target audience with an email signup form. You can build your email list before even showing them your products. Plus, you can also accept pre-orders and retarget audiences.

This way, you can already build an email list even before your launch date.

Get them to join your email list with incentives such as:

  • Exclusive discounts
  • Giveaways
  • Free shipping
  • Helpful content

Don't forget to also create a compelling Call To Action. Establish a sense of urgency around the incentives through your pre-launch marketing efforts.

So, don't forget to have a form on your Coming Soon landing page!

And lastly...

Provides Visitors With A Way To Contact You

Pre-launch marketing campaigns don't exist just to build hype around your online store.

Because your pre-launch page should also include a way to reach out to you.

Your email list is a way for you to get in touch with your audience. Better yet, open up a two-way line of communication between you and them.

How, you ask?

Add a live chat widget. You can quickly answer your customer's questions. After that, you can also ask for their honest feedback about your eCommerce business.

Provides Visitors With A Way To Contact You

Another way you can talk to your potential customers is through social media platforms. So, make your social media accounts visible on your Coming Soon page.

Make it easy for them to find you by adding social sharing buttons. It will also increase the chances of them sharing it with their friends and family.

Now that you know what to include on a Coming Soon page, let's go ahead and create yours!

How To Create A Shopify Coming Soon Page?

1. Create A Coming Soon Page With The Password Page

The easiest way to create a Coming Soon page is through the password page.

Your password page has everything you can ask for in a Coming Soon page. It already has email signup, the much-needed social sharing buttons, and more.

As the name suggests, this page can also be password protected. So, you can choose who can view your under way website with a password.

The first thing you need to do is to create a Shopify password page with the best free eCommerce theme, Debutify Theme.

Once you installed Debutify in one easy click, go to your Shopify admin homepage. Go to your theme and click Customize. You'll be directed to Debutify's homepage.

Hit "Others" on the top bar drop-down menu. Click on Password.

2. Use A Shopify Coming Soon Page App

Alternatively, you can use Shopify page builders. It will let you launch a Coming Soon page with its own templates and different features.
